SC Bank, HD Bank, and Al Baraka top fastest growing listed banks in net profits during Q1-2025
First Bank

First Bank list of banks listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange with the fastest growth in net profits during the first quarter of 2025 revealed that Suez Canal Bank topped the list with a growth rate of 114.41%, after achieving net profits worth 1.311 billion pounds during the first 3 months of 2025, compared to 611.2 million pounds.During the same period in 2024.
The list, which included 12 banks listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange, revealed that 9 banks achieved positive growth rates in their net profits during the period from January to March 2025, while 3 banks achieved decline rates during the same period.
Returning to the list, the Housing and Development Bank occupied second place, after its net profits jumped at a growth rate of 98.72% during the first quarter of this year, recording 4.821 billion pounds, compared to 2.426 billion pounds during the same period in 2024.
Al Baraka Bank Egypt ranked third on the list with a growth rate of 77.64%, after recording net profits of 985.9 million pounds during the first quarter of 2025, compared to more than 555 million pounds during the first quarter of 2024.
The United Bank came fourth with a growth rate of 67.80%, after its net profits rose to 740 million pounds during the first quarter of 2025, compared to 441 million pounds during the same period in 2024.
The Egyptian Gulf Bank came in fifth place with a growth rate of 45.39%, after achieving net profits of 781.5 million pounds during the first quarter of 2025, compared to 537.5 million pounds during the same period in 2024.
It is worth noting that all values and growth rates mentioned in the above analysis are in accordance with the independent financial statements announced for each bank at the end of March 2025.
