QNB Egypt, Al Baraka and HD Bank top fastest growing listed banks in syndicated loans during Q1-2025

First Bank’s list of banks listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange with the fastest growth in syndicated loans during the first quarter of this year revealed that «QNB» Egypt topped the list with a growth rate of 30.8%, as its portfolio jumped to EGP 45.49 bn by the end of March 2025, compared to EGP 34.78 bn by the end of 2024.
First Bank list, which included 11 banks listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange, revealed that 9 banks achieved positive growth rates, while only two banks declined in their total syndicated loan portfolios during the first quarter of 2025.
Returning to the list, Al Baraka Bank snatched second place, as its portfolio of syndicated loans jumped by about 17.7% during the first quarter of 2025, reaching EGP 8.68 bn by the end of March 2025, compared to EGP 7.38 bn by the end of 2024.
Housing and Development Bank came in third place, after its syndicated loan portfolio increased by about 16.4% during the first quarter of this year, reaching 4.97 billion pounds by the end of March 2025, compared to 4.27 billion pounds by the end of 2024.
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank – Egypt «ADIB» snatched fourth place, as its portfolio of syndicated loans rose by about 5% during the first quarter of 2025, recording 1.54 billion pounds by the end of March 2025, compared to 1.46 billion pounds by the end of 2024.
As for fifth place, it went to The United Bank, after its syndicated loan portfolio jumped by about 2.3% during the first quarter of this year, reaching 7.14 billion pounds by the end of March 2025, compared to 6.98 billion pounds by the end of 2024.
