HD Bank, EGABNK and SC Bank tops fastest-growing listed banks in net interest income during Q1-2025

First Bank list of banks listed on the stock exchange with the fastest growth in net interest income during the first quarter of 2025 revealed that Housing and Development Bank topped the list, after its net income from returns increased at a growth rate of 86.4%, recording the equivalent of EGP 6.93 bn during the first quarter of 2025, compared to EGP 3.72 bn during the first quarter of 2024.
The list, which included all 12 banks listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange, revealed that 11 banks achieved positive growth rates in their net income from interest during the first quarter of 2025, with the exception of one bank that recorded a negative growth rate.
Returning to the list, the Egyptian Gulf Bank «EGABNK» ranked second with a growth rate of 57.8%, after its net income from interest amounted to 1.88 billion pounds during the first quarter of 2025, compared to 1.19 billion pounds during the same period in 2024.
Suez Canal Bank snatched third place with a growth rate of 54.1%, after its net income from revenue increased to 1.68 billion pounds during the first quarter of 2025, compared to 1.09 billion pounds during the first quarter of 2024.
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank-Egypt «ADIB-Egypt» took fourth place with a growth rate of 45%, after its net income from revenue recorded about 4.60 billion pounds during the first quarter of 2025, compared to 3.18 billion pounds during the same period in 2024.
As for fifth place, it went to Faisal Islamic Bank with a growth rate of 43.4%, after its net income from revenue increased to record 2.37 billion pounds during the first quarter of 2025, compared to 1.65 billion pounds during the first quarter of 2024.
