ABK - Egypt, SC Bank, and FABMISR top fastest-growing banks in customer deposits during Q1-2025

First Bank’s list of the fastest growing banks in customer deposits during the first quarter of 2025 revealed that Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait – Egypt «ABK – Egypt» topped the list, as its portfolio of customer deposits increased by about 11.9% during the first quarter of this year, reaching EGP 134.12 bn by the end of March 2025, compared to EGP 119.89 bn by the end of 2024.
First Bank list monitored the development of the customer deposit portfolio with 24 banks operating in the Egyptian banking system for which financial data were available during the first quarter of 2025, and showed that 20 banks achieved positive growth rates, while 4 banks witnessed a noticeable decline.
Returning to the list, Suez Canal Bank took second place, as its portfolio of customer deposits increased by about 11.7%, reaching 151.32 billion pounds by the end of March 2025, compared to 135.47 billion pounds by the end of 2024.
First Abu Dhabi Bank - Egypt «FABMISR» snatched third place with a growth rate of 11.6% during the first quarter of 2025, as its customer deposit portfolio rose to 288.87 billion pounds by the end of March 2025, compared to 258.79 billion pounds by the end of 2024.
Kuwait Finance House Bank - Egypt won fourth place, after its customer deposit portfolio jumped by about 10.4% during the first quarter of 2025, reaching 129.30 billion pounds at the end of last March, compared to 117.09 billion pounds at the end of 2024.
Arab International Banking Company Bank «saib» took fifth place, after the volume of customer deposits jumped by about 10.3% during the first quarter of this year, recording 129.58 billion pounds at the end of March 2025, compared to 117.45 billion pounds at the end of 2024.
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank – Egypt «ADIB» came in sixth place, as its portfolio of customer deposits increased by about 8.9% during the first quarter of 2025, reaching 218.15 billion pounds by the end of March 2025, compared to 200.28 billion pounds by the end of 2024.
The Bank of Alexandria came seventh, after its customer deposit portfolio increased by about 8% during the first quarter of this year, to record 181.55 billion pounds by the end of March 2025, compared to 168.04 billion pounds by the end of 2024.
Bank NXT ranked eighth, as its portfolio of customer deposits jumped by about 7% during the first quarter of 2025, reaching EGP 72.76 bn at the end of last March, compared to EGP 68.01 bn at the end of 2024.
Qatar National Bank – Egypt «QNB» ranked ninth, after its portfolio of customer deposits jumped by about 6.9% during the first quarter of 2025, recording 729.21 billion pounds at the end of March 2025, compared to EGP 681.86 bn at the end of 2024.
The Egyptian Gulf Bank «EGBANK» dominated tenth place with a growth rate of 6.8% during the first quarter of this year, bringing its portfolio of customer deposits to EGP 119.63 bn by the end of March 2025, compared to EGP 111.97 bn by the end of 2024.
