saib, ADIB-Egypt and SC Bank top fastest growing listed banks in savings certificate balances during Q1-2025

First Bank list of listed banks with the fastest growth in savings certificate balances during the first quarter of 2025 revealed that the Arab International Banking Company «saib» Bank topped the list, with a growth rate of 21.4% during the first quarter of this year, thanks to the increase in its portfolio to 18.08 billion pounds.By the end of March 2025, compared to 14.89 billion pounds by the end of 2024.
The list, which included all 12 banks listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange, revealed that they all achieved positive growth rates in total savings certificate balances during the first quarter of 2025.
Returning to the list, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank-Egypt «ADIB-Egypt» seized second place, with a growth rate of 10.4%, after its balances of savings certificates rose to 46.82 billion pounds at the end of March 2025, compared to 42.43 billion pounds at the end of 2024.
Suez Canal Bank ranked third, as its balances from savings certificates jumped by about 10.1% during the first quarter of 2025, recording 12.74 billion pounds at the end of March 2025, compared to 11.57 billion pounds at the end of 2024.
Al Baraka Bank came in fourth place, as its balances of savings certificates increased by about 9.8% during the first quarter of this year, reaching 40.68 billion pounds by the end of March 2025, compared to 37.05 billion pounds by the end of 2024.
As for fifth place, it went to the Housing and Development Bank, where the volume of its savings certificate balances increased by about 9.7% during the first 3 months of this year, reaching 16.45 billion pounds by the end of March 2025, compared to 15 billion pounds by the end of 2024.
It is worth noting that all values and growth rates mentioned in the above analysis are in accordance with the independent financial statements announced for each bank at the end of March 2025.
