SC Bank tops Fastest-growing banks in direct loans during Q1-2025

The portfolio of direct loans to companies at Suez Canal Bank witnessed remarkable growth during the current year, which is evident in its increase to 27.42 billion pounds by the end of March 2025, compared to 19.75 billion pounds by the end of 2024, with a growth rate of 38.8% on a quarterly basis.

This strong performance prompted the bank to top «First Bank»’s list of the fastest growing banks in direct corporate loans during the first quarter of 2025.

In general, Suez Canal Bank achieved strong performance during the current year, as its net profits jumped to 1.311 billion pounds during the first quarter of 2025, compared to 611.248 million pounds during the same period in 2024, with a growth rate of 114.41%, and a total increase of 699.339 million pounds.

The bank’s profits before income taxes rose to 1.84 billion pounds during the first quarter of 2025, compared to 836.7 million pounds during the same period in 2024, with a growth rate of 120.34%, an increase of more than one billion pounds.

The bank’s strong performance in terms of its profits was supported by the significant growth it achieved in net income from revenue, as it rose to 1.68 billion pounds during the first 3 months of 2025, compared to 1.09 billion pounds during the same period in 2024, after recording a growth rate of 54.1%, and an increase of 589.5%.One million pounds.

Net income from fees and commissions also exceeded 335 million pounds during the first quarter of 2025, compared to 198.5 million pounds during the same period in 2024, an increase of 136.6 million pounds.

In terms of the bank’s financial position, its asset portfolio increased at a growth rate of 12.77% during the first quarter of this year, reaching 203.2 billion pounds by the end of March 2025, compared to 180.2 billion pounds by the end of 2024, an increase of 23 billion pounds.

The bank’s total loan portfolio to customers jumped at a growth rate of 14.80% during the first quarter of this year, moving from 79.2 billion pounds by the end of 2024, to 90.9 billion pounds by the end of March 2025, recording an increase of 11.7 billion pounds.
