Emirates NBD, Kuwait Finance House - Egypt and FABMISR top the fastest growing banks in financial investments during Q1-2025

First Bank list of the fastest growing banks in total financial investments during the first quarter of 2025 revealed that Emirates NBD – Egypt «Emirates NBD» topped the list, as its total financial investments increased by about 51.18%, reaching EGP 47.71 billion by the end of March 2025, compared to EGP 25.47 billion by the end of 2024.

First Bank list monitored the total financial investments in 25 banks operating in the Egyptian banking sector, for which financial data were made available during the period under analysis, and revealed that 22 banks achieved positive growth rates in the size of their portfolios, with the exception of 3 banks that recorded a noticeable decline during the first quarter of 2025.

Returning to the list, Kuwait Finance House Bank – Egypt snatched second place, thanks to an increase in its total volume of financial investments by about 30.1% during the first quarter of 2025, reaching 31.11 billion pounds by the end of March 2025, compared to 23.91 billion pounds by the end of 2024.

First Abu Dhabi Bank – Egypt «FABMISR» snatched third place, as its portfolio increased by about 24.4%, reaching 161.66 billion pounds at the end of March 2025, compared to 130 billion pounds at the end of 2024.

HSBC Bank «HSBC» came in fourth place, with its total financial investments jumping by about 21.9% during the first quarter of 2025, reaching EGP 127.30 billion by the end of March 2025, compared to EGP 104.41 billion by the end of 2024.

Attijariwafa Bank came in fifth, with its total financial investments jumping by about 21.7% during the first 3 months of 2025, reaching EGP 33.65 billion by the end of March 2025, compared to EGP 27.66 billion by the end of 2024.

The Suez Canal Bank came in sixth place, thanks to an increase in its total financial investments and treasury bills by about 17.5% during the first quarter of 2025, reaching 36.32 billion pounds by the end of March 2025, compared to 30.92 billion pounds by the end of 2024.

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank-Egypt «ADIB – Egypt» dominated seventh place, thanks to an increase in the volume of its financial investments by about 16.5% during the first quarter of 2025, reaching 48.91 billion pounds by the end of March 2025, compared to 41.97 billion pounds by the end of 2024.

The Bank of Alexandria ranked ninth, after the volume of its financial investments increased by about 15.7% during the first quarter of 2025, recording 63.21 billion pounds at the end of March 2025, compared to 54.62 billion pounds at the end of 2024.

As for tenth place, it went to the National Bank of Kuwait – Egypt «ABK – Egypt», where its total financial investments increased by about 15.4% during the first quarter of 2025, recording 20.50 billion pounds at the end of March 2025, compared to 17.76 billion pounds at the end of 2024.
