Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Wednesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday, 13 August 2025 with an increase in the market cap by 0.19% to record EGP 546.222 bn compared to EGP 545.197 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.45% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 343.891 mn which represents 8.92% of the total trading volume today after 10.14 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.80% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 258.8 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” decreased by 0.41% to reach 36.139 points EGX70 fell by 0.25% to record 10.707 points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by 0.43% to record 14.386 points.
