The foreign exchange rate witnessed an decrease at the end of Thursday 28 August 2025 trading at Egypt's major banks.
First Bank monitors foreign currency rates in major banks in Egypt:
U.S. dollar
The US dollar rate against EGP recorded EGP 48.5283 for buying and EGP 48.6643 for selling, according to the latest data issued on the Central Bank of Egypt website.
The highest dollar rate for buying was in «EBank» at EGP 48.75 .
The lowest rate for selling was in «ABK-Egypt» at EGP 48.60 .
Euro
The Euro rate against EGP recorded EGP 56.6422 for buying and EGP 56.8058 for selling, according to the latest data issued on the Central Bank’s website.
The highest Euro rate for buying was in «ADIB-Egypt» at EGP 56.63 .
The lowest rate for selling was in «IDB» at EGP 56.64 .
Pound Sterling
The pound sterling rate against EGP stands at EGP 65.6151 for buying and EGP 65.8184 for selling, according to the latest data issued on the Central Bank of Egypt website.
The highest pound sterling rate for buying was in «ADIB-Egypt» at EGP 65.68 .
While the lowest rate for selling was in Banque de Caire at EGP 65.57 .
Saudi Riyals
The Saudi riyal rate against EGP today in Egypt recorded EGP 12.9319 for buying and EGP 12.9688 for selling, according to the latest data issued on the Central Bank of Egypt website.
The highest rate for buying today was in «EBank» at EGP 12.99 .
The lowest rate for selling was in Banque de Caire at EGP 12.96 .
Kuwaiti Dinar
Kuwaiti dinar rate today in Egypt reached EGP 158.8435 for buying and EGP 159.3408 for selling, according to the latest data issued on the Central Bank of Egypt website.
The highest rate for buying the Kuwaiti dinar was in KFH-Egypt at EGP 158.97 .
The lowest price for selling was in Banque de Caire at EGP 159.12 .
Emirati Dirham
