Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 1 September 2025 with a decrease in the market cap by 0.93% to record EGP 528.902 bn compared to EGP 533.881 bn at Yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.07% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 650.344 mn which represents 14.9% of the total trading volume today after 8.07 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.86% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with an increase ,However turnover amounted EGP 258.8 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.03% to record 35.247 points “EGX70” increased by 0.84% to record 10.858 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.76% to record 14.393 points.
