Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday, 30 June 2025 with an decrease in the market cap by 0.82% to record EGP 495.405 bn compared to EGP 499.482 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 21.84% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 492.163 mn which represents 8.31% of the total trading volume today after 8.365 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.45% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 258.8 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” decrease by 1.05% to reach 33.381 points EGX70 decrease by 0.57% to record 9.984 points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by 0.15% to record 13.538 points.
