Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday, 12 May 2025 with an increase in the market cap by 1.04% to record EGP 473.052 bn compared to EGP 468.203 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 21.84% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 495.005 mn which represents 15.41% of the total trading volume today after 9.525 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.70% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 258.8 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” decrease by 0.47% to reach 31.863 points EGX70 decrease by 0.02% to record 9.602 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.04% to record 12.848 points.
