HD Bank, SC Bank and Alex Top Fastest-Growing Banks in Net profits During H1-2025

First Bank’s list of the fastest-growing banks in net profits during the first half of 2025 revealed that Housing and Development Bank «HD» topped the ranking with a growth rate of 73.1%, Its net profits portfolio rose to EGP 8.93 billion by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 5.16 billion at the end of 2024.
The list monitored the net profits of 25 banks operating in the Egyptian banking sector, based on available financial data. Results showed that 17 banks recorded positive growth in net profits during the first half of 2025, while 8 banks recorded a decline.
Suez Canal Bank came in second place, as its net profits increased by 70.6% to reach EGP 3.08 billion by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 1.81 billion at the end of 2024.
Bank Alexandria secured third place, recording a 46.9% jump to EGP 7.47 billion, up from EGP 5.08 billion at the end of 2024.
Al Baraka ranked fourth with 46.7% growth, as net profits rose to EGP 1.96 billion by June 2025, compared to EGP 1.34 billion at the end of 2024.
EGBANK followed in fifth place with a 39.4% increase, bringing its net profits to EGP 1.72 billion, compared to EGP 1.23 billion at the end of 2024.
Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank «ADCB» came sixth, with net profits up 37.9% to EGP 2.95 billion, versus EGP 2.14 billion in December 2024.
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank – Egypt «ADIB-Egypt» took seventh place, recording 34.4% growth to EGP 6.04 billion, compared to EGP 4.49 billion previously.
Banque du Caire «BDC» followed in eighth place, as net profits rose by 30.6% to EGP 7.46 billion by June 2025, against EGP 5.71 billion at the end of 2024.
In ninth place, National Bank of Kuwait-Egypt «NBK-Egypt» recorded 30.4% growth, with net profits climbing to EGP 4.13 billion from EGP 3.17 billion.
Finally, the United Bank ranked tenth, as net profits grew 27% to EGP 4.13 billion by June 2025, compared to EGP 3.17 billion at the end of 2024.
It is worth noting that all values and growth rates mentioned above are based on the independent financial statements released by each bank at the end of June 2025.
