SC Bank, Emirates NBD and ADCB top fastest-growing banks in assets during H1-2025

First Bank list of the fastest growing banks in assets during the first half of 2025 revealed that Suez Canal Bank topped the list with a growth rate of 26.2%, after its portfolio rose to EGP 227.32 bn by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 180.19 bn by the end of 2024.
The «First Bank» list monitored the size of the asset portfolios of 24 banks operating in the Egyptian banking sector, for which financial data was available during the period under analysis, and revealed that all banks achieved positive growth rates in the size of their assets during the first half of 2025.
Returning to the list, Emirates NBD Bank - Egypt snatched second place, as its portfolio of assets increased by about 20.96% during the first half of this year, recording 192.25 billion pounds at the end of June 2025, compared to 158.93 billion pounds at the end of 2024.
Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank «ADCB» dominated third place, as its portfolio of assets jumped by about 17.06% during the first half of this year, reaching 157.04 billion pounds at the end of June 2025, compared to 134.16 billion pounds at the end of 2024.
Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait – Egypt «ABK-Egypt» took fourth place with a growth rate of 15.41% during the first half of this year, bringing the volume of its assets to 163.43 billion pounds at the end of June 2025, compared to 141.60 billion pounds at the end of 2024.
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank-Egypt «ADIB-Egypt» came in fifth place, after its asset portfolio increased at a growth rate of 14.36% during the first half of this year, reaching 296.01 billion pounds by the end of June 2025, compared to 258.84 billion pounds by the end of 2024.
Arab International Banking Company Bank «saib» came in sixth place, as its portfolio of assets jumped by about 12.7% during the first half of this year, reaching 169.05 billion pounds by the end of June 2025, compared to 150 billion pounds by the end of 2024.
First Abu Dhabi Bank «FABMISR» won seventh place, as its portfolio of assets increased by about 11.7% during the first 6 months of this year, reaching 461.05 billion pounds by the end of June 2025, compared to 412.71 billion pounds by the end of 2024.
The Bank of Alexandria came in eight place, as the total volume of its assets increased by about 11.6% during the first 6 months of this year, recording 239.45 billion pounds at the end of June 2025, compared to 214.57 billion pounds at the end of 2024.
Bank NXT came in ninth place, as the total volume of its assets increased by about 11.2% during the first 6 months of this year, recording 88.3 billion pounds at the end of June 2025, compared to 79.42 billion pounds at the end of 2024.
As for tenth place, it went to CIB, after the volume of its assets increased by about 8.7% during the first half of this year, reaching 1.31 trillion pounds at the end of June 2025, compared to 1.21 trillion pounds by the end of 2024.
It is worth noting that all values and growth rates mentioned in the above analysis are in accordance with the independent financial statements announced for each bank at the end of June 2025
