Emirates NBD, Al Baraka, and ADCB Fastest-Growing Foreign Banks in terms of Credit cards in the last 3 years

Emirates NBD-Egypt topped the list of the fastest-growing foreign banks in Egypt by Credit cards over the past 3 years, with a growth rate of 1834.8%.

Al Baraka came second with 869.1%, followed by ADCB in third place with 826.1%.

KFH-Egypt and NBK-Egypt secured the fourth and fifth spots with a growth rate of 459.6% and 339.3%, respectively.

According to First Bank's list of the fastest-growing foreign banks in Egypt based on credit cards over the past 3 years (2022–2024), Emirates NBD-Egypt ranked first with a growth rate of 1834.8%, recording EGP 1.35 billion in 2024, up from EGP 69.58 million in 2021

The ranking includes 11 foreign banks operating in the Egyptian banking sector, for which financial data was available for the three years. All of them achieved positive growth rates.

Notably, ABC and FABMISR achieved 330.6% and 101.9% with a growth rate over the last 3 years after undergoing acquisitions during this period, they were excluded to maintain the accuracy of comparison.

Al Baraka Bank-Egypt came second with a growth rate of 869.1%, reaching EGP 243.04 million in 2024, up from EGP 25.08 million in 2021.

Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank «ADCB» ranked third with a growth rate of 826.1%, recording EGP 550.05 million in 2024, compared to EGP 59.40 million in 2021.

Kuwait Finance House Bank-Egypt «KFH-Egypt» followed in fourth place with a growth rate of 459.6%, as credit cards rose to EGP 185.06 million in 2024, from EGP 33.07 million in 2021.

National Bank of Kuwait-Egypt «NBK-Egypt» came fifth, averaging 339.3% growth, with credit cards reaching EGP 792.99 million in 2024, compared to EGP 180.50 million in 2021.
