ADIB, ADCB, and El Baraka Fastest-Growing Foreign Banks in terms of Syndicated Corporate Loans in the last 3 years

ADIB topped the list of the fastest-growing foreign banks in Egypt by syndicated loans over the past 3 years, with a growth rate of 477.6%.
ADCB came second with 261.6%, followed by Al Baraka in third place with 140.3%. ABK-Egypt and QNB-Egypt secured the fourth and fifth spots with a growth rate of 133.2% and 117.8%, respectively.
According to First Bank's list of the fastest-growing foreign banks in Egypt based on syndicated loans over the past 3 years (2022–2024), Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank «ADIB» ranked first with a growth rate of 477.6%, recording EGP 1.46 billion in 2024, up from EGP 0.25 billion in 2021
The ranking includes 10 foreign banks operating in the Egyptian banking sector, for which financial data was available for the three years. Nine of them achieved positive growth in financial investments, while one bank recorded a decline.
Notably, ABC and FABMISR achieved 312.9% and 307.8% with a growth rate over the last 3 years after undergoing acquisitions during this period, they were excluded to maintain the accuracy of comparison.
Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank «ADCB» came second with a growth rate of 261.6%, reaching EGP 6.40 billion in 2024, up from EGP 1.77 billion in 2021.
El Baraka Bank ranked third with a growth rate of 140.3%, recording EGP 7.38 billion in 2024, compared to EGP 3.07 billion in 2021.
Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait-Egypt «ABK-Egypt» followed in fourth place with a growth rate of 133.2%, as syndicated loans rose to EGP 3.35 billion in 2024, from EGP 1.44 billion in 2021.
Qatar National Bank-Egypt «QNB-Egypt» came fifth, averaging 117.8% growth, with syndicated loans reaching EGP 34.78 billion in 2024, compared to EGP 15.97 billion in 2021.
