ADIB-Egypt, ADCB and Bank NXT top fastest growing banks in corporate loans during Q1-2025

First Bank’s list of the fastest growing banks in institutional loans (including small loans for economic activities) during the first quarter of 2025 revealed that Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank – Egypt «ADIB» topped the list, as its portfolio of corporate financing increased by about 16.8% during the first quarter of 2025, reaching To 87.70 billion pounds by the end of March 2025, compared to 75.08 billion pounds by the end of 2024. The list, which included 25 banks operating in the Egyptian banking sector, for which financial data were available during the period under analysis, showed that 24 banks achieved positive growth rates in their corporate loan portfolios during the first quarter of 2025, while only one bank witnessed a noticeable decline. Returning to the list, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank – Egypt «ADCB» seized second place, with a growth rate of 16.7% during the first quarter of 2025, bringing the volume of its loans to corporates to 51.06 billion pounds at the end of March 2025, compared to 43.77 billion pounds at the end of 2024. BANK NXT«ranked third, after the volume of its corporate loans jumped by about 15.1% during the first quarter of 2025, recording 25.53 billion pounds at the end of March 2025, compared to 22.19 billion pounds at the end of 2024. Suez Canal Bank came in fourth place, with a growth rate of 14.9%, after its portfolio of corporate loans rose to 84.65 billion pounds at the end of March 2025, compared to 73.67 billion pounds at the end of 2024. The United Bank ranked fifth, with a growth rate of 13% during the first 3 months of this year, bringing the volume of its loans to corporates to 25.86 billion pounds by the end of March 2025, compared to 22.88 billion pounds by the end of 2024. Arab International Banking Company Bank «saib» ranked sixth, as its portfolio of corporate loans jumped by about 10.7% during the first quarter of 2025, recording 51.11 billion pounds by the end of March 2025, compared to 46.15 billion pounds by the end of 2024. The Egyptian Gulf Bank «EGBANK» seized seventh place, as the volume of its loans to corporates increased by about 10.4% during the first quarter of this year, recording 35.31 billion pounds at the end of March 2025, compared to 31.99 billion pounds at the end of 2024. First Abu Dhabi Bank – Egypt «FABMISR» came in eighth place, as the volume of its loans to corporates increased by about 7.3% during the first 3 months of this year, reaching 137.41 billion pounds by the end of March 2025, compared to 128.10 billion pounds by the end of 2024. Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt ranked ninth, with a growth rate of 7% during the first quarter of 2025, thanks to an increase in its portfolio of corporate loans to 15.99 billion pounds by the end of March 2025, compared to 14.94 billion pounds by the end of 2024. As for tenth place, it went to Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait – Egypt «ABK – Egypt», with a growth rate of 6.9% during the first quarter of this year, after its portfolio of corporate loans jumped to 49.38 billion pounds at the end of last March, compared to 46.19 billion pounds at the end of the year.2024. It is worth noting that all values and growth rates mentioned in the above analysis are in accordance with the independent financial statements announced for each bank at the end of March 2025.
