FABMISR, SC Bank, and AlexBank top fastest growing banks in corporate deposits during Q1-2025

«First Bank»’s list of the fastest growing banks in institutional deposits during the first quarter of this year revealed that First Abu Dhabi Bank – Egypt «FABMISR» topped the list, with a growth rate of 11.9%, as its portfolio jumped to 225.44 billion pounds by the end of March 2025, compared to 201.54 billion pounds.By the end of 2024.

The «First Bank» list monitored the size of institutional deposit portfolios with 24 banks operating in the Egyptian banking sector, for which financial data was available during the period under analysis, and revealed that 17 banks achieved positive growth rates in the volume of their deposits with institutions, while 7 banks recorded a noticeable decline during the first quarter of 2025.

Returning to the list, Suez Canal Bank took second place, as its portfolio of institutional deposits increased by about 11% during the first quarter of 2025, recording 126.92 billion pounds at the end of March 2025, compared to 114.34 billion pounds at the end of 2024.

The Bank of Alexandria snatched third place, as its institutional deposit portfolio jumped by about 10.64% during the first 3 months of 2025, reaching 57.60 billion pounds by the end of March 2025, compared to 52.06 billion pounds by the end of 2024.

Kuwait Finance House Bank – Egypt took fourth place, thanks to an increase in its deposits to institutions by about 10.55% during the first 3 months of 2025, reaching 101.13 billion pounds by the end of March 2025, compared to 91.48 billion pounds by the end of 2024.

Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait – Egypt «ABK–Egypt» won fifth place, after its portfolio of institutional deposits rose by about 9.5% during the first quarter of 2025, reaching 94.14 billion pounds at the end of last March, compared to 85.95 billion pounds at the end of 2024.

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank – Egypt «ADIB» dominated sixth place, after the volume of its deposits to institutions jumped by about 7.9% during the first 3 months of 2025, recording 122.43 billion pounds at the end of March 2025, compared to 113.48 billion pounds at the end of 2024.

Arab International Banking Company Bank «saib» ranked seventh, as its portfolio of institutional deposits increased by about 7.3% during the first 3 months of 2025, reaching 83.15 billion pounds by the end of March 2025, compared to 77.50 billion pounds by the end of 2024. The Egyptian Gulf Bank «EGBANK» ranked eighth, with a growth rate of 7% during the first 3 months of 2025, with its institutional deposit portfolio recording 93.47 billion pounds at the end of March 2025, compared to 87.36 billion pounds at the end of 2024.

Qatar National Bank – Egypt «QNB» came in ninth place, as its portfolio of institutional deposits jumped by about 6.15% during the first 3 months of 2025, reaching 475.1 billion pounds by the end of March 2025, compared to 447.58 billion pounds by the end of 2024.

As for tenth place, it went to Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank – Egypt «ADCB», thanks to an increase in its portfolio of institutional deposits by about 6.08% during the first 3 months of 2025, reaching 99.15 billion pounds by the end of March 2025, compared to 93.47 billion pounds by the end of 2024.
