Al Baraka, KFH-Egypt, and HSBC Fastest-Growing Foreign Banks in terms of Personal loans in the last 3 years

Al Baraka-Egypt topped the list of the fastest-growing foreign banks in Egypt by Personal loans over the past 3 years, with a growth rate of 544.3%.

KFH-Egypt came second with 277.8%, followed by HSBC in third place with 183.4%.

ABK-Egypt and ADIB-Egypt secured the fourth and fifth spots with a growth rate of 146.6% and 106.7%, respectively.

According to First Bank's list of the fastest-growing foreign banks in Egypt based on personal loans over the past 3 years (2022–2024), Al Baraka Bank ranked first with a growth rate of 544.3%, recording EGP 12.18 billion in 2024, up from EGP 1.89 billion in 2021

The ranking includes 10 foreign banks operating in the Egyptian banking sector, for which financial data was available for the three years. all of them achieved positive growth rates.

Notably, ABC and FABMISR achieved 179.1% and 140% with a growth rate over the last 3 years after undergoing acquisitions during this period, they were excluded to maintain the accuracy of comparison.

Kuwait Finance House-Egypt «KFH-Egypt» came second with a growth rate of 277.8%, reaching EGP 4.25 billion in 2024, up from EGP 1.13 billion in 2021.

HSBC Bank ranked third with a growth rate of 183.4%, recording EGP 11.73 billion in 2024, compared to EGP 4.14 billion in 2021.

Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait-Egypt «ABK-Egypt» followed in fourth place with a growth rate of 146.6%, as personal loans rose to EGP 22.03 billion in 2024, from EGP 8.93 billion in 2021.

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank-Egypt «ADIB-Egypt» came fifth, recorded growth of 106.7%, with personal loans reaching EGP 25.77 billion in 2024, compared to EGP 12.47 billion in 2021.
