EGP index increased against a basket of major currencies to 39.287 points at today's trading

The Egyptian pound index recorded an increase against major currencies by the close of trading on Thursday 2 October 30 2025 rose to 39.287 points at the end of the day, compared to 39.225 points at the close of Yesterday’s trading.
The rise in the pound index came as a result of its increase against the US dollar, Euro, Pound sterling, Japanese yen, Chinese yuan, Saudi riyal and UAE dirham at the end of today’s trading session.
The average selling price of the US dollar fell from EGP 47.90 to EGP 48.81, while the average buying price in Egypt fell from EGP 47.80 to EGP 47.72 at the end of today's trading.
The average selling price of the Euro fell from EGP 56.23 to EGP 56.20 by the close of today’s trading, while the average buying price in Egypt decreased from EGP 56.09 to EGP 56.08 .
The average selling price of the pound sterling fell from EGP 64.61 to EGP 64.46 by the end of the day, while the average buying price fell from EGP 64.45 to EGP 64.28 .
The average selling price of the Japanese yen fell from EGP 32.58 to EGP 32.57 by the close of trading, while the average buying price decreased from EGP 32.51 to EGP 32.50.
The average selling price of the Chinese yuan fell from EGP 6.72 to EGP 6.71 at the end of today’s trading, while the average buying price fell from EGP 6.71 to EGP 6.70.
The average selling price of the UAE dirham decreased from EGP 13.04 to EGP 13.01by the close of trading, while the average buying price dropped from EGP 13.01 to EGP 12.99 .
The average selling price of the Saudi riyal fell from EGP 12.77 to EGP 12.75 by the close of trading, while the average buying price fell from EGP 12.74 to EGP 12.72 at the end of the day.
