Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 7 October 2025 with an increase in the market cap by 0.27% to record EGP 570.28 bn compared to EGP 568.72 bn at Yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.41% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 113.61 Mn which represents 2.43% of the total trading volume today after 2.77 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.18% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with an increase , however turnover amounted EGP 258.8 Mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.01% to record 37.203 points, “EGX70” rose by 0.45% to record 11.383 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.38% to record 15.001 points.
