Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday, 15 July 2025 with an increase in the market cap by 1.53% to record EGP 513.989 bn compared to EGP 506.265 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.16% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 396.68 mn which represents 7.6% of the total trading volume today after 8.87 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.59% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 258.8 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” increase by 0.16% to reach 34.027 points EGX70 decrease by 0.29% to record 10.251 points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by 0.05% to record 13.876 points.
