Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 20 October 2025 with an increase in the market cap by 0.87% to record EGP 587.70 bn compared to EGP 582.61 bn at Yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.22% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 1.19 bn which represents 16.93% of the total trading volume today after 16.79 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.94% of the total trading volume.
The Egyptian Exchange closed today’s trading session with all indices ending in green, supported by net foreign purchases amounting to EGP 258.8 million.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.17% to record 38.181 points, “EGX70” rose by 0.20% to record 11.936 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.26% to record 15.680 points.
