Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday closing

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 27 October 2025 with a decrease in the market cap by 0.32% to record EGP 589.61 bn compared to EGP 591.50 bn at Yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 21.68% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 359.36 Mn which represents 6.04% of the total trading volume today after 8.41 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.46% of the total trading volume.
The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed today’s trading session with the main benchmark index EGX30 edging up, while both the EGX70 and EGX100 indices declined, amid net foreign purchases amounting to EGP 258.8 million.
The EGX30 main index rose by 0.16% to close at 38.287 points, while the EGX70 index for small and mid-cap stocks fell by 0.20% to 12.338 points, Meanwhile, the broader EGX100 index inched up by 0.18%, ending the session at 16.151 points
