Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday closing

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 11 November 2025 with an increase in the market cap by 1.89% to record EGP 646.24 bn compared to EGP 634.266 bn at Yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 23.06% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 1.39 bn which represents 22.16% of the total trading volume today after 41.47 million shares were exchanged capturing 2.90% of the total trading volume.
The Egyptian Exchange closed Tuesday trading session with a decline in the main index EGX30, while both the EGX70 and EGX100 indices ended higher, amid net foreign buying worth EGP 130.2 million.
The EGX30 main index fell by 0.41% to close at 40,613 points, whereas the EGX70 index, which tracks medium-sized stocks, rose by 0.26% to 12,220 points. Meanwhile, the broader EGX100 EWI index increased by 0.05%, closing at 16,190 points.
