EGP index increased against a basket of major currencies to 40.043 points at today's trading

The Egyptian pound index rose against major currencies at the close of trading on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, as the index value increased to 40.043 points by the end of the day, compared to 40.001 points at the close of Monday’s session.

The rise in the index came as the pound strengthened against the US dollar, euro, British pound, Japanese yen, Chinese yuan, UAE dirham, and Saudi riyal at the close of today’s trading.

The average selling price of the US dollar fell from EGP 47.31 to EGP 47.26 by the end of the day, while the average buying price declined from EGP 47.21 to EGP 47.16.

The average selling price of the British pound decreased from EGP 62.38 to EGP 62.16, while the average buying price dropped from EGP 62.21 to EGP 62.02 by the end of trading.

The average selling price of the euro fell slightly from EGP 54.73 to EGP 54.70, while the average buying price declined from EGP 54.61 to EGP 54.58.

The average selling price of the Japanese yen decreased from EGP 30.69 to EGP 30.64, and the average buying price dropped from EGP 30.62 to EGP 30.57 by the end of the day.

The average selling price of the Chinese yuan fell from EGP 6.64 to EGP 6.63, while the average buying price in Egypt declined from EGP 6.63 to EGP 6.62.

The average selling price of the UAE dirham decreased from EGP 12.88 to EGP 12.87, while the average buying price fell from EGP 12.85 to EGP 12.84.

The average selling price of the Saudi riyal declined from EGP 12.61 to EGP 12.60, and the average buying price dropped from EGP 12.58 to EGP 12.57 by the end of trading.
