EGP index decreased against a basket of major currencies to 39.581 points at today's trading

The Egyptian Pound Index witnessed a decline against major currencies at the close of trading today, Tuesday, November 25, 2025, where the value of the index fell to 39.581 points at the close of today's trading, compared to 39.644 points at the close of trading yesterday, Monday.

The decline in the Pound Index came as a result of its retreat against the Dollar, the Euro, the Pound Sterling, the Japanese Yen, the Chinese Yuan, the UAE Dirham, and the Saudi Riyal at the conclusion of today's transactions.

The average selling price for the Dollar witnessed an increase from EGP 47.81 to EGP 47.87 at the conclusion of today's transactions, and the average buying price rose from EGP 47.71 to EGP 47.77 at the end of today's trading.

Also, the average selling price for the Euro increased from EGP 55.18 to EGP 55.20 at the conclusion of today's transactions, and the average buying price rose from EGP 55.06 to EGP 55.07 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price for the Pound Sterling increased from EGP 62.62 to 62.81 at the conclusion of today's transactions, and the average buying price also increased from EGP 61.48 to EGP 62.68 at the conclusion of today's transactions.

Also, the average selling price for the Japanese Yen witnessed an increase from EGP 30.49 to 30.61 at the conclusion of today's transactions, and the average buying price rose from EGP 30.42 to EGP 30.54 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price for the Chinese Yuan witnessed an increase from EGP 6.72 to 6.75 at the conclusion of today's transactions, and the average buying price in Egypt also increased from EGP 6.71 to EGP 6.74 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price for the UAE Dirham increased from EGP 13.01 to EGP 13.03 at the conclusion of today's transactions, and the average buying price also increased from EGP 12.98 to EGP 13.00 at the conclusion of today's transactions.

Similarly, the average selling price for the Saudi Riyal increased from EGP 12.74 to EGP 12.76 at the conclusion of today's transactions, and the average buying price also increased from EGP 12.72 to 12.73 at the conclusion of today's transactions.
