EGP index increased against a basket of major currencies to 39.634 points at today's trading

The Egyptian Pound Index recorded an increase against major currencies at the end of trading on Wednesday, 26 November 2025, as the index rose to 39.634 points at the end of today’s session, compared to 39.581 points at the end of yesterday’s trading on Tuesday.
The increase in the pound index came as a result of its appreciation against the US dollar, the Japanese yen, the Chinese yuan, the UAE dirham, and the Saudi riyal, while it declined against the euro and remained stable against the British pound at the end of today’s session.
The average selling price of the US dollar declined from EGP 47.87 to EGP 47.76 at the end of today’s trading, while the average buying price fell from EGP 47.77 to EGP 47.66 at the end of today’s session.
The average selling price of the Japanese yen also decreased from EGP 30.61 to EGP 30.50 at the end of today’s session, while the average buying price declined from EGP 30.54 to EGP 30.43 by the end of trading.
The average selling price of the Chinese yuan dropped from EGP 6.75 to EGP 6.74 at the end of today’s session, while the average buying price in Egypt decreased from EGP 6.74 to EGP 6.73 by the end of trading.
The average selling price of the UAE dirham declined from EGP 13.00 to EGP 13.03 at the end of today’s session, while the average buying price fell from EGP 13.00 to EGP 12.97 at the end of today’s trading.
The average selling price of the Saudi riyal decreased from EGP 12.76 to EGP 12.73 at the end of today’s session, while the average buying price dropped from EGP 12.73 to EGP 12.70 by the end of trading.
Meanwhile, the average selling price of the euro increased from EGP 55.20 to EGP 55.27 at the end of today’s session, while the average buying price rose from EGP 55.07 to EGP 55.15 by the end of trading.
The average selling price of the British pound remained stable at EGP 62.81 at the end of today’s session, and the average buying price also remained stable at EGP 62.68 at the end of trading.
