Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday closing

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 1 December 2025 with a decrease in the market cap by 0.09% to record EGP 633.77 bn compared to EGP 634.33 bn at Yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.71% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 429.06 Mn which represents 5.58% of the total trading volume today after 12.53 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.32% of the total trading volume.
The Egyptian Exchange closed at the end of today's trading with a decline in the stock market indices EGX30 and EGX70, and a rise in the stock market index EGX100, amidst a selling trend by foreign investors with a net value of EGP 130.2 million.
The main index of the Egyptian Exchange, EGX30, declined by 0.15% to the level of 40,010 points. Similarly, the EGX70 index for medium-sized stocks declined by 0.02% to the level of 12,401 points. Meanwhile, the broader index, EGX100, rose by 0.19% to record 16,545 points.
