Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 15 September 2025 with an increase in the market cap by 0.92% to record EGP 535.38 bn compared to EGP 530.52 bn at Yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 21.63% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 272.94 Mn which represents 5.61% of the total trading volume today after 4.47 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.20% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with an increase in “EGX30” and a decrease in “EGX70” and “EGX100”, however turnover amounted EGP 258.8 Mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.15% to record 35.343 points “EGX70” fell by 0.50% to record 10.987 points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by 0.50% to record 14.506 points.
