Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 22 September 2025 with a decrease in the market cap by 0.59% to record EGP 528.66 bn compared to EGP 531.82 bn at Yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 21.56% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 418.55 Mn which represents 11.53% of the total trading volume today after 5.98 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.77% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with a decrease in “EGX30” and an increase in “EGX70” and “EGX100” , however turnover amounted EGP 258.8 Mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.10% to record 35.360 points “EGX70” increased by 0.13% to record 10.585  points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.13% to record 14.075 points.
