EGP index increased against a basket of major currencies to 39.634 points at today's trading

The Egyptian pound index recorded an increase against major currencies by the end of trading today, Tuesday, December 2, 2025, as the value of the index rose to 39.751 points by the end of today’s trading, compared to 39.701 points at the end of yesterday’s Monday session.
The rise in the pound index came as a result of its increase against the US dollar, the euro, the British pound, and the Japanese yen, and its stability against the Chinese yuan, the UAE dirham, and the Saudi riyal by the end of today’s trading.
The average selling price of the US dollar declined from 47.57 pounds to 47.56 pounds by the end of today’s trading, while the average buying price fell from 47.47 pounds to 47.46 pounds by the end of today’s session.
The average selling price of the euro decreased from 55.35 pounds to 55.24 pounds by the end of today’s trading, while the average buying price fell from 55.23 pounds to 55.11 pounds by the end of today’s session.
The average selling price of the British pound also declined from 63.03 pounds to 62.81 pounds by the end of today’s trading, and the average buying price fell from 62.89 pounds to 62.67 pounds by the end of today’s session.
The average selling price of the Japanese yen also decreased from 30.69 pounds to 30.49 pounds by the end of today’s trading, while the average buying price dropped from 30.62 pounds to 30.42 pounds by the end of today’s session.
Meanwhile, the average selling price of the Chinese yuan remained stable at 6.72 pounds by the end of today’s trading, and the average buying price in Egypt remained stable at 6.71 pounds by the end of today’s session.
The average selling price of the UAE dirham also remained stable at 12.95 pounds by the end of today’s trading, and the average buying price remained stable at 12.92 pounds by the end of today’s session.
The average selling price of the Saudi riyal also remained stable at 12.67 pounds by the end of today’s trading, while the average buying price fell from 12.65 pounds to 12.64 pounds by the end of today’s session.
