EGP index decreased against a basket of major currencies to 39.619 points at today's trading

The Egyptian pound index declined against major currencies by the end of trading on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, as the index fell to 39.619 points by the end of today’s trading, compared to 39.629 points at the end of yesterday, Tuesday.
The decline in the pound index came as a result of its depreciation against the US dollar, the euro, the Chinese yuan, and the UAE dirham, while it appreciated against the Japanese yen, and remained stable against the British pound and the Saudi riyal by the end of today’s trading.
The average selling price of the US dollar increased from EGP 47.65 to EGP 47.67 by the end of today’s trading, while the average buying price rose from EGP 47.55 to EGP 47.57 by the end of the day.
The average selling price of the euro increased from EGP 55.45 to EGP 55.49 by the close of today’s trading, while the average buying price rose from EGP 55.33 to EGP 55.37 by the end of the day.
The average selling price of the Chinese yuan rose from EGP 6.74 to EGP 6.75 by the end of today’s trading, while the average buying price in Egypt remained stable at EGP 6.73 by the end of the day.
The average selling price of the UAE dirham increased from EGP 12.97 to EGP 12.98 by the end of today’s trading, while the average buying price rose from EGP 12.94 to EGP 12.95 by the end of the day.
Meanwhile, the average selling price of the Japanese yen declined from EGP 30.50 to EGP 30.42 by the end of today’s trading, and the average buying price decreased from EGP 30.42 to EGP 30.35 by the end of the day.
The average selling price of the British pound remained stable at EGP 63.50 by the end of today’s trading, while the average buying price slightly declined from EGP 63.34 to EGP 63.33 by the end of the day.
The average selling price of the Saudi riyal remained stable at EGP 12.70 by the end of today’s trading, and the average buying price also remained stable at EGP 12.67 by the end of the day.
