Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday closing

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday 23 December 2025 with an increase in the market cap by 1.44% to record EGP 660.20 bn compared to EGP 650.83 bn at Yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 23.08% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 323 Mn which represents 5.59% of the total trading volume today after 7.51 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.28% of the total trading volume.
The Egyptian Exchange closed today’s trading session with all indices ending in green, supported by net foreign purchases amounting to EGP 130.2 million.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.77% to record 41.419 points, “EGX70” rose by 1.10% to record 13.014 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.87% to record 17.196 points.
