«ADIB-Egypt», «SC Bank», and «BANK NXT» Lead as the Fastest-Growing Banks in Financing During the First 9 Months of 2025
«ADIB-Egypt» tops the list of the fastest-growing banks in financing, followed by «SC Bank» in second place
Complete dominance of the private sector, with private banks occupying all top ten positions and the absence of public banks from the rankings
Arab banking groups secure half of the seats among the top 10 fastest-growing banks
Strong outperformance by listed banks, with six banks among the top ten
Islamic banks claim a single position among the top 10 fastest-growing banks
The First Bank ranking of the fastest-growing banks in customer financing during the first nine months of 2025 revealed that Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank–Egypt «ADIB-Egypt» topped the list, after its financing portfolio surged by approximately 39.1% during the first nine months of 2025, reaching EGP 142.95 billion by the end of September 2025, compared with EGP 102.74 billion at the end of 2024.
Suez Canal Bank secured second place, as its customer loan portfolio jumped by around 38.5% during the first nine months of 2025, reaching EGP 109.61 billion by the end of September 2025, compared with EGP 79.17 billion at the end of 2024.
BANK NXT ranked third, with its customer loan portfolio increasing by approximately 37.7% during the first nine months of 2025, reaching EGP 44.78 billion by the end of September 2025, compared with EGP 32.51 billion at the end of 2024.
The First Bank list monitored total customer loans at 27 banks operating within the Egyptian banking system for which financial data were available as of the end of September 2025. The data showed that all banks recorded positive growth rates in total customer loans during the first nine months of 2025.
The ranking highlighted complete dominance by the private sector over the list of the top 10 fastest-growing banks in customer loans during the first nine months of 2025, amid the total absence of public-sector banks from the leading positions. The private-sector banks included: ADIB, Suez Canal Bank, BANK NXT, EGBANK, CIB, saib, ADCB, FABMISR, Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait–Egypt, and QNB Egypt.
At the level of Arab banking groups operating in Egypt, these groups captured half of the seats among the top 10 fastest-growing banks, represented by: ADIB, ADCB, FABMISR, Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait–Egypt, and QNB Egypt.
The ranking also showed a notable outperformance by banks listed on the Egyptian Exchange, which occupied six positions among the top ten, namely: ADIB, Suez Canal Bank, EGBANK, CIB, saib, and QNB Egypt.
In contrast, Islamic banks secured only one position among the top 10 fastest-growing banks, with Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank–Egypt «ADIB-Egypt» dominating the first place.
It is worth noting that all values and growth rates cited in the above analysis are based on the standalone financial statements officially disclosed by each bank as of the end of September 2025.
