Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday closing

Closed the banking sector on the Egyptian Exchange at the end of trading on sunday 15 February 2026, with an increase in the sector’s market capitalization by 3.33%, reaching EGP 821.52 billion at the close of today’s session, compared to EGP 795.03 billion at the close of last thursday’s session.
The banking sector’s market capitalization represented 24.99% of the total market capitalization today, which is the highest percentage among all sectors listed on the exchange.
The trading value of banking sector shares amounted to EGP 943.83 million, representing 11.17% of the total trading value on the exchange today. A total of 26.62 million shares were traded in the sector, accounting for 1.36% of the total trading volume of the exchange today.
The Egyptian Exchange closed today’s session on a collective rise in its indexes amid a trend of foreign investors toward net buying of EGP 258.8 million.
The main index EGX30 increased by 3.60% to 52.308 points, and EGX70 rose by 1.02% to 13.063 points, and EGX100 rose by 1.54% to 18.205 points.
