EGP index increased against a basket of major currencies to 35.871 points at today's trading

The Egyptian Pound index increase against major currencies at the end of trading on wednesday 25 March 2026, where the value of the index rose to 35.871 points at the end of today's trading, compared to 35.792 points at the end of yesterday’s trading on tuesday.
The rise of the Pound index came as a result of its increased against the US dollar, the euro, the pound sterling, the Chinese yuan, the UAE dirham, Saudi riyal, the Japanese yenthe at the end of today's trading.
The average selling price of the US dollar fell from EGP 52.74 to EGP 52.63 at the end of today's trading, and the average purchase price fell from EGP 52.64 to EGP 52.53 .
The average selling price of the euro fell from EGP 61.11 to EGP 60.98 at the end of today's trading, and the average purchase price fell from EGP 60.99 to EGP 60.86 at the end of today’s trading.
The average selling price of the pound sterling fell from EGP 70.68 to EGP 70.49 at the end of today's trading, while the average purchase price fell from EGP 70.50 to EGP 70.33 .
The average selling price of the Chinese yuan fell from EGP 7.65 to EGP 7.63 at the end of today's trading, and the average purchase price fell from EGP 7.64 to EGP 7.61 .
The average selling price of the Japanese yen fell from EGP 33.21 to EGP 33.09 and the average purchase price fell from EGP 33.15 to EGP 33.3 .
The average selling price of the UAE dirham fell from EGP 14.36 to EGP 14.33 at the end of today’s trading, while the purchase price in Egypt fell from EGP 14.32 to EGP 14.30 by the close of trading.
The average selling price of the Saudi riyal fell from EGP 14.05 to EGP 14.03 at the end of today’s trading, while the average purchase price fell from EGP 14.02 to EGP 14.00 .
