EGP index fell against a basket of major currencies to 34.539 points at today's trading

The Egyptian pound index witnessed decline against major currencies by the end of trading on monday 6 April, stabilized to 34.539 points compared to 34.727 points at the close of the previous sunday.

The decline of the pound index came as a result of its fell against the US dollar, the euro, the pound sterling, the Chinese yuan, the Japanese yen, the UAE dirham, and the Saudi riyal at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the US dollar increased from EGP 54.49 to EGP 54.75, while the average buying price rose from EGP 54.39 to EGP 54.65 by the close of trading.

The euro’s average selling price increased from EGP 62.95 to EGP 63.33, while the average buying price rose from EGP 62.82 to EGP 63.20 .

The British pound’s selling price increased from EGP 72.19 to EGP 72.60, while the average buying price EGP 72.05 to EGP 72.43 .

The Chinese yuan’s average selling price increased from EGP 7.92 to EGP 7.99, while the average buying price rose from EGP 7.90 to EGP 7.97 .

The Japanese yen’s average selling price increased from EGP 34.18 to EGP 34.7 , while the average buying price rose from EGP 34.10 to EGP 34.21 .

The UAE dirham’s average selling price increased from EGP 14.84 to to EGP 14.91 , while the average buying price rose from EGP 14.80 to EGP 14.88.

The Saudi riyal’s average selling price increased from EGP 14.51 to EGP 14.58, while the average buying price rose from EGP 14.51 to EGP 14.56 by the end of trading.
