Al Rajhi Bank was the highest-profit Arab bank during the first quarter of 2026
The latest First Bank rankings revealed that Al Rajhi Bank topped the list of the most profitable Arab banks in the Arab world during the first quarter of 2026.
The bank achieved net profits of USD 1.80 billion during the first quarter of 2026, compared with USD 1.58 billion during the same period in 2025, representing a growth rate of 14.4%.
The ranking was based on banks' reported net profits denominated in U.S. dollars, providing a unified basis for comparison among banking institutions. Banks with no officially disclosed financial data were excluded from the ranking to ensure the accuracy of the results and the reliability of the adopted methodology.
Overall, Al Rajhi Bank delivered a strong performance during the current year, with income from financing and investments increasing by 18.4% to USD 2.24 billion in the first quarter of 2026, compared with USD 1.89 billion in the corresponding period of 2025.
Banking service fees rose to USD 427.21 million during the first three months of 2026, up from USD 365.96 million during the same period of 2025, reflecting a growth rate of 16.7%.
The bank's customer deposits portfolio increased by 1.7% during the first quarter of the year, reaching USD 180.85 billion at the end of March 2026, compared with USD 177.91 billion at the end of 2025.
Meanwhile, net financing rose to USD 200.83 billion at the end of March 2026, compared with USD 200.69 billion at the end of 2025, representing a quarter-on-quarter growth of 0.1%.
The bank's shareholders' equity increased to USD 40.67 billion at the end of March 2026, up from USD 38.10 billion at the end of 2025, marking a quarter-on-quarter growth of approximately 6.7%.
