ADIB Egypt Maintains the Top Spot, Reflecting Its Efficiency in Attracting Diverse Segments of Depositors
Total deposits of 10 Gulf banks operating in the Egyptian market reached 2.60 EGP tn, growing 9.6% in Q1 2026

The First Bank ranking of the fastest-growing Gulf banks operating in the Egyptian banking sector during Q1 2026 revealed that ADIB Egypt topped the list, as its deposit portfolio increased by approximately 15.54%, reaching 321.31 EGP bn at the end of March 2026, compared with 278.09 EGP bn at the end of 2025.
NBK Egypt ranked second, with its deposit portfolio increasing by approximately 13.13% during the first quarter of the year to reach 203.64 EGP bn at the end of March 2026, compared with 180.01 EGP bn at the end of 2025.
Meanwhile, QNB Egypt ranked third, with its deposits growing by approximately 13.04% to reach 880.94 EGP bn at the end of March 2026, compared with 779.31 EGP bn at the end of 2025.
The First Bank ranking tracked the development of deposit portfolios at 10 Gulf banks operating in the Egyptian banking sector for which financial data were available. The results showed that all banks recorded positive growth rates during Q1 2026.
Meanwhile, total deposits held by the 10 Gulf banks operating in the Egyptian market reached 2.60 EGP tn at the end of March 2026, representing a 9.61% increase from 2.37 EGP tn at the end of 2025.
The ranking showed that Egyptian Exchange-listed banks secured two spots among the top five out of 3 banks included in the ranking: QNB Egypt and ADIB Egypt.
Meanwhile, two Gulf banks maintained their positions among the top five between 2025 and March 2026: NBK Egypt and ADIB Egypt.
