Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank – Egypt (ADIB Egypt) ranked second, with its institutional deposits portfolio rising 28.41% in H1 2026 to EGP 184.71 billion at end-June, up from EGP 143.52 billion at end-2025.

Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt ranked third, after its institutional deposits portfolio increased 24.95% in the first six months of 2026 to EGP 7.29 billion at end-June, compared with EGP 5.84 billion at end-2025.

The ranking covered all 12 banks listed on the Egyptian Exchange, with 11 recording positive growth in institutional deposits during H1 2026, while one bank posted a decline.

The ranking also showed notable changes in banks’ positions between end-2025 and June 2026. However, some banks maintained their presence among the leading positions, with Faisal Islamic Bank and Housing and Development Bank remaining among the top five in both periods, highlighting their ability to maintain a competitive position despite changes in the ranking.

Total institutional deposits across all banks listed on the Egyptian Exchange grew 16.82% in H1 2026 to EGP 2.07 trillion at end-June, compared with EGP 1.78 trillion at end-2025, an increase of more than EGP 298.54 billion in just six months.

The ranking also highlighted the strong presence of Islamic banks among the leading positions. ADIB Egypt and Faisal Islamic Bank ranked among the top five, accounting for two of the three Islamic banks included in the ranking. This highlights the competitive position of Islamic banks in the institutional deposits market despite their limited representation in the sample.

All values and growth rates cited in the analysis are based on the separate financial statements disclosed by each bank for the period ended June 2026.
