EBank, ADIB Egypt and Suez Canal Bank post the fastest growth in retail financing among EGX-listed banks in H1 2026

«ADIB Egypt» and «Suez Canal Bank» remain among the five fastest-growing banks between end-2025 and June 2026

FirstBank’s ranking of the fastest-growing EGX-listed banks in retail financing during H1 2026 showed that «EBank» led the list, with its portfolio rising 26.8% to EGP 17.52bn at end-June 2026 from EGP 13.81bn at end-2025.

«ADIB Egypt» ranked second, with its retail financing portfolio rising 19.4% in H1 2026 to EGP 57.69bn at end-June, compared with EGP 48.33bn at end-2025.

«Suez Canal Bank» ranked third, with its retail financing portfolio increasing 17.5% in the first six months of 2026 to EGP 13.57bn at end-June, from EGP 11.55bn at end-2025.

The ranking, which covered all 12 EGX-listed banks, showed positive growth in retail financing portfolios across all banks during H1 2026.

The combined retail financing portfolio of EGX-listed banks grew 13.08% in H1 2026 to EGP 440.16bn at end-June, from EGP 389.23bn at end-2025, an increase of more than EGP 50bn.

The data also showed a slowdown in retail financing growth among EGX-listed banks, with the portfolio rising 13.08% in H1 2026, compared with 15.58% in the same period of 2025.

«ADIB Egypt» and «Suez Canal Bank» also remained among the five fastest-growing EGX-listed banks in retail financing in both H1 2026 and 2025.

Meanwhile, «CIB» maintained its position as the largest EGX-listed bank by retail financing, with a portfolio of EGP 103.36bn at end-June 2026. The gap between «CIB» and «QNB Egypt», the second-largest bank by retail financing, widened to around EGP 11.36bn at end-June.
