Personal loans at listed banks reaches EGP 341.54bn, up 15.17% in H1 2026
Export Development Bank of Egypt (EBank) topped First Bank’s ranking of the fastest-growing Egyptian Exchange-listed banks by personal loans in H1 2026, after its portfolio rose 30.14 per cent to EGP 15.09 billion at end-June 2026 from EGP 11.59 billion at end-2025.
The United Bank ranked second, with personal loans rising 21.22 per cent in H1 2026 to EGP 6.87 billion at end-June, compared with EGP 5.67 billion at end-2025.
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank – Egypt (ADIB Egypt) ranked third, after its personal loans portfolio increased 20.14 per cent to EGP 55.21 billion at end-June 2026 from EGP 45.95 billion at end-2025.
The ranking, which covered 11 banks, showed that all banks recorded positive growth in personal loans during H1 2026. ADIB Egypt and Suez Canal Bank also retained their positions among the top five compared with the 2025 ranking.
June 2026 data showed that QNB Egypt became the largest Egyptian Exchange-listed bank by personal loans, with its portfolio reaching EGP 71.22 billion, narrowly ahead of CIB, which ranked second with EGP 70.60 billion.
Total personal loans at Egyptian Exchange-listed banks rose 15.17 per cent to EGP 341.54 billion at end-June 2026 from EGP 296.55 billion at end-2025, an increase of EGP 44.99 billion during H1 2026.
EBank recorded the biggest rise in the ranking during H1 2026, advancing six places from its 2025 position, supported by the faster growth of its personal loans portfolio.
