KFH Egypt leads banks by personal loan growth in H1 2026

Kuwait Finance House – Egypt (KFH-Egypt) continued to expand its personal loan portfolio during the first half of 2026, with balances surging 43.2 per cent to EGP 11.41bn at end-June, from EGP 7.97bn at end-2025.

This performance pushed the bank to the top of First Bank's list of the fastest-growing operating banks in the Egyptian banking sector by personal loan portfolio during H1 2026, climbing from third place in the 2025 ranking.  

Overall, KFH-Egypt delivered solid results this year, as net profit climbed 19.2 per cent to EGP 2.11 bn in H1 2026, compared to EGP 1.77 bn a year earlier.  

 Net interest income rose to EGP 4.34 bn during the first half of 2026, compared to EGP 3.65 bn during the same period of 2025, recording a growth rate of 18.8 per cent.  

Meanwhile, net fee and commission income increased around 39.2 per cent to reach EGP 556.84 million during H1 2026, compared to EGP 400.18 mn during the same period of 2025.   

The bank's asset portfolio rose to EGP 185.90 bn at end-June 2026, compared to EGP 171.81 bn at end-2025, recording a semi-annual growth rate of 8.2 per cent.   

Additionally, the deposit portfolio increased around 6.1 per cent during the first half of the current year, reaching EGP 149.93 bn at end-June 2026, compared to EGP 141.35 bn at end-2025.

 Total loans to customers rose to EGP 120.31 bn at end-June 2026, compared to EGP 104.78 bn at end-2025, with a semi-annual growth rate of 14.8 per cent
