In line with its commitment to corporate social responsibility and continued support for Egypt’s healthcare sector, Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait – Egypt (ABK-Egypt) inaugurated a haematology laboratory at Baheya Foundation, funding its establishment and providing the necessary medical equipment.

The laboratory is expected to serve approximately 85 per cent of the foundation’s patients, equivalent to 400,000 cases annually, helping enhance the medical services provided to breast cancer patients.

ABK-Egypt employees also joined women at Baheya Foundation in celebrating the completion of their chemotherapy treatment, sharing moments of joy and presenting gifts to mark the occasion.

To mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month, ABK-Egypt illuminated its headquarters in Smart Village in pink, reinforcing its commitment to women’s health and raising awareness of the importance of early breast cancer detection.

As part of its awareness initiatives, the bank organised a medical seminar for female employees in October, in collaboration with representatives from Al Mehwar Hospital. Held at the bank’s head office, the seminar focused on the importance of early breast cancer detection and preventive measures.

ABK-Egypt also partnered with MetLife to provide free mammogram screenings for all female employees, further supporting women’s health in the workplace.

ABK-Egypt remains committed to sustainable development and its contribution to economic and social sustainability. The bank continues to align its corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy with the efforts of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) and the Egyptian government to advance the objectives of Egypt Vision 2030.
