Banque du Caire  Ranks Third On The List With A Deposits Coverage Ratio Of 125.88%.

Banque Misr And Credit Agricole Occupy The Fourth And Fifth with Deposits Coverage Ratios Of 125.52% and 125.01%, Respectively.

The Arab African International Bank topped the list of  best banks in assets coverage ratio to deposits with 139.67% by the end of September 2022, as the total assets of the bank reached 278.5 billion pounds, while the total deposits recorded 199.4 billion by the end of September 2022.

Deposit coverage ratio is measured by (assets / deposits), as one of the most important indicators that reflects the level of safety of deposits portfolio with the bank.

National Bank of Egypt, Occupied the second place, after its deposits coverage ratio recorded 133.11% at the end of last September, with total assets reached 3.781 trillion pounds, while its deposits portfolio recorded 2.841 trillion by the end of September 2022.

Banque du Caire came third, after its deposits coverage ratio recorded  125.88% by the end of September 2022, as the total portfolio of assets reached 297 billion pounds, while the total deposits  recorded 235.8 billion by the end of last September.

Banque Misr came in fourth place with a deposits coverage ratio of 125.52% at the end of last September, after its assets portfolio recorded EGP 1.971 trillion, while its deposits portfolio reached 1.570 trillion by the end of September 2022.

Credit Agricole Bank of Egypt ranked fifth with a deposits coverage ratio of 125.01%, after its total assets portfolio reached 67.2 billion pounds, while its deposits portfolio recorded 53.7 billion by the end of September 2022, followed by Attijariwafa bank with a deposits coverage ratio of 124.16% by the end of the same period.

As for the seventh place, taken by E-Bank with a deposits coverage ratio of 123% at the end of last September, followed by Faisal Islamic Bank, Alex Bank and Emirates NBD, with coverage ratios of 121.96%, 121.41% and 121.37%, respectively. By the end of September 2022.

It should be noted that all the values and coverage ratios mentioned in the above analysis are according to the separated financial statements announced for each bank at the end of September of last year.
