AAIB Soars Deposits Coverage Ratio to 139.7%
The outstanding performance of the Arab African International Bank continued during 2022, the asset coverage ratio for deposits recorded 139.67%, by the end of September 2022, as the bank’s total assets reached 278.5 billion pounds, while the total deposits recorded 199.4 Two billion pounds by the end of September 2022.
AAIB maintained its lead on First bank's list, as it also ranked first at the end of September 2021, which that the bank enjoys a strong deposit coverage rate, and high safety indicators in protecting its deposits, as deposits represent 71.60% of the total assets .
the bank’s capital adequacy ratio increased to 20.01% at the end of last September, compared to 19.49% at the end of 2021, exceeding the regulatory limits set by the Central Bank of Egypt which is consistent with Basel Accord of 12.5%.
Meanwhile, the financial leverage rate, decreased slightly, and the bank’s non-risk-weighted assets to 11.17% by the end of the third quarter of 2022, compared to 11.72%. By the end of 2021.
A noticeable decline in the rate of non-performing loans, to 8% at the end of last September, compared to 13% at the end of 2021.
This is considered a success for the bank's strategy and its commitment to achieving its objectives, which center around a strong financial performance.
