alBaraka Bank, SCBank and Faisal Bank, Are Fastest Growing Listed Banks In Individual Loans At 2022
alBaraka Bank – Egypt topped Firstbank list with a growth rate of 74.44%, after total individual loans portfolio jumped to EGP 4.3 bn at the end of December 2022, compared to EGP 2.5 bn at the end of December. 2021.
Firstbank list included 11 banks listed on Egyptian Stock Exchange, all the banks under analysis achieved positive growth rates at the level of their individual financing portfolios during the period from January to December 2022.
Suez Canal Bank occupied second place with a growth rate of 54.11% over the past year, total individual loans portfolio of EGP 2.8 bn at the end of December 2022, compared to EGP 1.8 bn at the end of December 2021.
Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt ranked third after its total individual loans portfolio increased by 50.60% over the past year, to EGP 2.5 bn at the end of December 2022, compared to EGP 1.7 bn at the end of the previous December.
E Bank came fourth, after its total individual loans portfolio increased by 41.85% over the past year, a value of EGP 4.5 bn at the end of December 2022, compared to EGP 3.2 bn at the end of December 2021.
As for the fifth place, Housing and Development Bank after increasing its total individual loans portfolio from EGP 16.1 bn at the end of December 2021, to reach EGP 21.2 bn at the end of December 2022, with a growth rate of 31.97% over the past year.
It should be noted that all values and growth rates mentioned above, are according to separate financial statements announced for each bank at the end of December 2022.
