Hala Sadek's Long-Standing Experience With Ahli United Bank

Hala Sadek is one of the most prominent female bankers who worked at Ahli United Bank, with more than 30 years of banking experience in the Middle East and North Africa.

Hala Sadek held many important positions at CIB from her beginnings in 1989 until 2006, and the most prominent of them was; Head of the Bank's Credit and Investment Risk Management Group.

In 2006, Hala Sadek moved to Ahli United Bank-Egypt, to write a new success story, as she joined many jobs in for more than 14 years, due to her strong performance and great ability to develop, she was chosen by Ahli United Bank Group in 2020, to be The bank's CEO, succeeding Nevin El Messery.

Sadek is making remarkable progress with Ahli United-Egypt, as it led the bank to achieve advanced levels in terms of profitability and expanding business which is reflected in the bank’s numbers since its leadership in 2020.

Over past 2 years, Hala Sadek has worked to expand the bank’s business significantly, to jump to EGP85.49 bn by the end of 2022, compared to EGP 56.16 bn by the end of 2020, achieving a growth rate of 52.23%, and an increase of EGP29.33 bn.

She also increased AUB’s financing to banks and customers, by increasing the bank’s net loans to customers and banks from EGP29.45 bn at the end of 2020, to 48.37 bn at the end of 2022, achieving a growth rate of 64.23%, and an increase of 18.92 bn.

The bank’s savings pools increased by 49.85%, reaching EGP69.8 bn by the end of 2022, compared to EGP46.58 bn by the end of 2020, an increase of EGP 23.22 bn.

Ahli United Bank-Egypt was able to achieve strong profits, as the bank’s net profit jumped by 69.21% during the past 2 years, to record EGP 2 bn in 2022, compared to EGP 1.19 bn in 2020, an increase of EGP 821.06 mn.
