The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Wednesday 8 March with decreased in the market cap by 1.83% or EGP 268.768 billion compared to EGP 273.791 billion at the end Tuesday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 27.29% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 347.264 million which represents 21.46% of the total trading volume today after 7.501 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.99% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increases EGX70 only and turnover amounted EGP 99 million on shares.

The main index on the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” increased by 0.71% at 16.532 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 0.35% to record 3.030 points, and the broader index “EGX100” declines by 0.23% to record 4.469 points.
